There are bananas on the front of this bottle. I don't like bananas. After calming down and not being a wuss and reading the ingredients, bananas make up only 1% of this juice. I felt a sigh of relieve as I took a sip. No banana! Lots of other stuff, though. It was true nectar, thick, smooth and gritty. It's strange to feel little grits and bits of fruit in there but that's how you know it's real. Once again, according to the percentage makeup of the fruit contents, there is 25% guava, 5% strawberry, and 1 sole percent of banana. The flavor was good and went in between the guava and strawberry, a nice 50/50 blend.

I liked it. A lot of times, single fruit nectar gets too fruity and boring after a while. Who needs ~12oz of just guava? Mix it up, and then cut it in half so you don't have a fruit overload. This little bottle is only 8.5oz and 65 calories so you can drink the whole thing and still feel good about yourself.

AGA Juice Mango

AGA Juice Mango

You know when your watching the Food Network and they make everything look easy? For instance, you know how they cut mangoes? They cut them in half, do some fancy pants knife work, turn the mango inside out and there you have it. A gorgeous, squared mango ready to do whatever you want. So, do that. I'll wait...

Now that your mango looks a fraction as awesome as Ellie Kreuger's, you're ready to go. Now smoosh up your carefully carved mango through a strainer. Do it one more time to get most of the chunks and pulp out and you've got this drink.

It's not bad at all and anyone who likes mangoes a little bit should enjoy this drink and although it's technically nectar, there isn't a lot of pulp and/or seeds. Some people, including myself, enjoy a lot of pulp, but you have to take a break every once in a while.

I picked this up at a local Halal market. This place was nothing to write home about and the service staff didn't say a single word the entire time Jay and myself were in there. This was good though and it comes with a stamp of approval from me.

Best Guava Juice Drink

Best Guava Juice Drink

I've had pink guava juice in the past, and now I am presented with one that is off white. Which is the true color? Is there artificial color added to the pink? Are there two different types of guava one white, one pink? Guess what, I don't care. It's all delicious. Guava is very close to the top on my list of favorite fruits, and I've never met a juice of it that I did not like.

This is really nice because it's not just guava juice, but guava pulp. It's thick and has the teeniest, tiniest little chunks of fruit in it. The only thing that I could think of that might make this better would be if there wasn't any added extra sugar in it. Maybe that's just me being a fan of pure fruit juice though.

Mira Pineapple Nectar

Mira Pineapple Nectar

In 1997 the Florida based band Mira (not to be confused with K Records artist Mirah) started putting out albums of shoegazey dream pop bliss. Sometime in the last century a mysterious conglomerate also known as Mira started putting out sugary juice bliss. I think the two must be correlated in some way. I mean what are the chances of so much bliss being created by two separate entities with the same name? I mean sure you could go to the Mira nectar website and you are met by "tropical/island" music, but hey people change. Maybe the fine folks in the band decided they want a more cheery demeanor in their lives.

I'd like to think that when the band went on hiatus in 2006 they directed their efforts into this other endeavor. Each member of the band chose a fruit and it was his or her duty to perfect a juice for production. Guitarist Tom Parker obvious pulled the pineapple card. The taste of this juice is as thick and dreamy as his guitar playing. He took the juice of a wonderful fruit and added some sugar to it to successfully combat the weird bile taste that it's juice sometimes has, while keeping the natural flavor intact. I've lost myself in his music, and I've lost myself in his juice.

I really wish this were all true. Imagine a band going from this to this. It would be simply amazing.

La Cena Nectar Strawberry Guava

La Cena Nectar Strawberry Guava

Every time I looked at this bottle on my shelf I mistook the guava on the label as a banana. As we’ve covered before bananas are gross. They are actually the only fruit I can’t hang with. Guava on the other hand is one of my favorites. If this were strawberry banana it would have been hard for me to get one sip down. Luckily that’s not the case and I am sitting here wishing that the bottle were bigger. It is pure guava and strawberry juice mixed together with a little water and sugar. Honestly had they not added the sugar this would have gotten a five-bottle review, but I’ll take what I can get. It’s sweet, fruity and oh so tasty.

Rayaan Guava Nectar

Rayaan Guava Nectar

Who doesn’t like Gifts, especially when they are drinks? Actually, especially when they are guava juice? My ladyfriend brought this home for me as she stopped in a little market to buy food coloring or some such thing. Is it sad that I care more about drinks then cookies? If so, I am a sad individual deserving of your pity. You should try to make me feel better with more drinks. I think that would be just the thing to help.

This juice is different than other guava stuff that I have had in the past. The main difference is that I believe all I’ve ever tasted before this was pink guava, not this white variety. The variation is very noticeable in the flavor. While the pink variety is very sweet and flavorful, the white is more laid back. It has a very similar flavor, but it’s just not as strong. I definitely prefer the pink, but I have would have no issues with settling for the white if it were all that was available.

Ujuice Mangolicious

Ujuice Mangolicious

This is a nice little bottle of juice that boasts to give you 100% of the recommended daily value of ten vitamins. Well that was nice of them to take care of that for me. It's a blend of a bunch of different fruit juices. It has a general fruity taste when it first hits your tongue. The aftertaste tastes exactly like dried mango strips, which is a slightly different taste than regular mango. Get one. Drink your vitamins. Enjoy your day.

Rubicon Passionfruit

Rubicon Passionfruit

I love passionfruit. It's my go to flavor whenever I get bubble tea. That being said, this is my first go at a straight up passionfruit juice. Normally it's mixed with a handful of other flavors in some sort of fruit medley. After drinking this I am further convinced it is a superior fruit. It somehow reminds me of a non-sour grapefruit juice. It's such a distinct taste. I don't think I could drink more than a glass of it in a day. It would be too much.

Firefly Natural Energy Britannia - Raspberry, Blackberry & Bramley Apple

Firefly Natural Energy Britannia - Raspberry, Blackberry & Bramley Apple

The cinnamon challenge is a thing of modern folklore. Oh you're not familiar? It's a little game where you dare or bet someone that they can't swallow a tablespoon of cinnamon without the aid of a beverage. The person is also not allowed to puke. It can be endlessly funny at parties. Generally if you can convince one of your friends to do it, it's pretty much guaranteed that others will join in saying that the people who can't do it are wusses. If you've never witnessed the hilarity please head over to You Tube and watch some videos of it. Watching the puff of spice come out of peoples mouths like smoke from an angry dragon never gets old.

I found this drink in a grocery store up in Canada on a little trip today. They had a handful of flavors, but since it was a little on the expensive side ($3.50) I had to chose only one. All of the flavors looked great, but once I saw blackberry and ginger combined I knew my answer.

It tastes like a lightly gingered apple juice. It has some slight berry flavor to it, but the apple it what really hits your taste buds. The ginger is there in flavor, but there isn't a burn with it. I brought up the cinnamon challenge earlier because even though it isn't listed as an ingredient there is the definite dryness of cinnamon in the aftertaste. Just like in the challenge, but to a smaller extent, it feels like the drink dries out your mouth. No one is going to be screaming for water because of it, but it's there and it makes the drink more interesting.

This is a natural energy drink. They make sure to point on that there is no refined sugars or taurine contained to give you "fake energy," as I will call it. In a separate ingredients list they let you know all of the "Botanical Extracts" that are contained to give you energy. Included are yerba mate and guarana.

I don't know what I expected this to taste like, but it was not how it actually tastes. I'm okay with that though, because it's pretty great. It's sweet, with just the right herbs and spices. I wish more companies would take note.

Mangajo Healthy Days Goji-berry & Green Tea

Mangajo Healthy Days Goji-berry & Green Tea

I've been doing way more research than any one person needs to in order to follow the trail of Ecto-Cooler. If you don't remember it I feel sorry for you. It was a flavor that Hi-C put out in the 80's in celebration of the masterpiece that is Ghostbusters. It's the least they could do for the movie changed the entire world. Well my world at least. Either way it was a green citrus juice drink and it was wonderful. Sadly it was discontinued (although brought back for a bit under the name "Shoutin' Orange Tangergreen"). It's probably the drink I miss the most in the world. I might just be feeling nostalgic, but this tastes like Ecto Cooler to me. The Sweet Leaf Citrus Green Tea had me thinking the same thing. Maybe it's just something with green tea and citrus (this has mandarin juice in it). Even without my history of loving Ecto Cooler this drink is incredible. It's some of the best tasting juice tea combos I've ever encountered. Goji Berry is something that I'm going to have to look into more.

Now I feel like I need to watch both Ghostbusters movies for the 900th time in my life. I'm not complaining.
