Arizona Fast Shots P.M. Relax Peach Green Tea
Johnny, I've had a lot of trouble getting to sleep. What can you prescribe me? I trust you in all your endless knowledge of sports, and for that reason, why shouldn't I trust you in your slight, if at all knowledge of medicine. I mean, I know you work at a corner grocery store, but maybe this is just a stepping-stone to your true calling, medicine. Sure, some say that you can't go back to school at...Johnny, how old are you...sixty-two, but I say that can't be right. I went to school and although I didn't see anyone who's sixty-two, I saw kids that might have been forty and that's pretty old for school. What's twelve more years?
So, my dilemma. I can't sleep. Nothing keeps me up at night but my own mind and I've got to slow it down to a creeping halt so that I can work my high power job at the roller rink as a DJ. What have you got for me? Why this? Arizona makes tea, Johnny. Oh, they've got a new product. Well, let me take a look-see here. Peach green tea and it comes in this adorable little container? I will try this right now, if you don't mind. Johnny! This is perhaps better than the tall boy of Arizona peach iced tea. It's remarkable! I'll take a case. Now I will have no problem sleeping in until three o'clock when the roller rink opens. Here, Johnny, take these two complimentary tickets to the roller rink on me. You deserved it. Yes, as a matter of fact, skates are extra. Sorry. We've got to make money somehow.

Be Happy Mood Booster Fat Free Chocolate Cherry
John Lennon informed the world that, "Happiness is a Warm Gun." According to the Be Happy company he got it all wrong. Happiness is in fact a cherry cordial, or at least a weird chemical facsimile. That is exactly what this little 2oz shot tastes like. At first I thought it was kind of gross, but then I thought about the candy and it made it go down much smoother.
I can't relax when there are things that need to be done. My new apartment is almost totally put together now, but there is still a handful of things to do, so I'm still on edge. I had a busy day Friday and when I got home instead of relaxing I just started working again and getting annoyed. I decided I needed to calm down and relax and enjoy myself. I drank this and I have to say it worked. I felt much better. I decided I should watch a feel good movie, but instead put on the remake of I Spit on Your Grave. While it may not have been the family blockbuster I was looking for, movies like that prove to me that I am not completely desensitized, and I appreciate that.

Doctors Select Downtime Relaxation
Walking through a truck stop I spotted this bottle, which looks more like an engine cleaner than a beverage. Even though it was in the cooler I had to double check to make sure I would not be poisoning myself by consuming it. It looks like too cheap of a grade of plastic to contain something edible.
To me the drink had a vague cough syrup scent to it, but my friends all said that the only thing they smelled was Pixie Stix. The taste was more in line with their diagnoses than mine. It essentially tastes like berry flavored sugar candy that was made with fake sugar. It's not wonderful, but it's not a deal breaker either. I just don't understand how drinks that have the polar opposite results (giving you tweeker energy and mellowing you out) can both have such a similar taste.
This had a weird effect on me. I drank it and within 15 minutes I passed out. 20 minutes of slumber passed and then my consciousness returned and I was completely awake for about 5 annoying minutes before I fell back asleep without warning. Luckily that time it lasted until morning.

Drank Extreme Relaxation Beverage
The original Drank was a southern hip hop "beverage." It was normally Sprite with a bottle of codeine cough syrup dumped in it. Sometimes Jolly Ranchers were thrown in for good measure.
Now this is a mass produced "safe" version. It's pretty much a very light grape pop with rose hips, melatonin and Valerian Root thrown in.
I expected this to be very thick on syrupy, as I image the original version was. It really just tastes like a tame grape soda.
It definitely relaxes you and makes you sleepy. As the can says "slow your roll."

Dream Water Snoozeberry
Do you want a night of completely mundane dreams? Well then I have the water for you. I drank this last night and I dreamt that I was at the grocery store checking all the drinks against the list on my phone to see if we had reviewed it. You know, like how I spend most of my days. Then when I cashed out there was a problem with my card and a manager got called over. He then yelled at the cashier, whom I stuck up for and a shouting match ensued. Completely boring.
The thing is that you don’t drink these to have insane crazy dreams. You drink them to sleep, and it performed that function perfectly. I tossed and turned for an hour last night. It was obviously that I wasn’t getting any closer to Slumberland on my own. I needed help from a bottle. Within 15 minutes of slamming this down my gullet I was out cold.
The drink was also surprisingly not gross. As we’ve stated dozens of times drinks that come in shot forms are gross by nature. This on the other hand tastes like a flavor of Vitamin Water Zero. It’s pomegranate and blueberry flavored, and it doesn’t taste chemical at all. It tastes like flavored water, and it doesn’t even taste concentrated. I like it as a drink, and I love it as a sleep aid. This is a win-win for everyone except my dreams.

Dream Water All Natural Pineapple PM
So I'm in Vegas for my sister's wedding. We spent three flights that were all delayed and took way, way too long. We thought we had missed our last connecting flight, because the one before it was late landing. We had to book it through the airport and made it to the terminal just in time. Once we finally made it to Vegas it took forever to get off our flight. When we made it to the car rental they said they were out of the cars we wanted, so they upgraded us to a Mustang convertible. For most people that would be awesome, but we are driving 5 hours to the Grand Canyon, and there is very little room in the car. Annoyances abound.
Finally we made it to our hotel, and they told us the only nonsmoking room they have left is right over where the bands play. I said whatever I just needed sleep. We dragged our bags to the room to find out that not only did they forget to turn on the air conditioning, so the room was a million degrees, but the band they spoke of was actually a DJ party that goes on until 4am with constant terrible beats. It was so damn loud.
I was so unbelievably tired, but due to the heat and the noise, I just couldn't fall asleep. I will be eternally grateful that I had packed this sleep shot, and not drank it for the plane (and read comics instead). I downed it, and I don't remember much after that until I awoke at 9am to a freezing room. The air conditioning decided to work properly. That is what I talk about a functional product. It has a diet pineapple sports drink flavor to it. It doesn't taste like poison, so I was thankful for that. It was light, with a decent flavor and after downing a shot I was out. Thank you Dream Water.
ps. We switched rooms in the morning after someone else checked out. Things may turn out okay after all.

Ex Natural Calming Drink Chillout
I don't understand how I can pass out at night as soon as my head hits the pillow; yet wake up exactly two hours later completely awake. I normally have no problems with my sleep patterns, but this has been happening for the past week or so. Last night after my sudden awakening and consequent tossing and turning, my girlfriend started talking in her sleep. She repeatedly asked me, "What's happening to the front right door?" I still don't know what she was talking about. When I asked her, "What door?" She just said, "This one." and fell into a deeper sleep. At that point I needed to fall asleep fast, so I downed this relaxation drink. I know this variety wasn't made to make me pass out, but it did help. It doesn't have melatonin in it, but the chamomile and Valerian did the trick. This tasted like carbonated Vitamin Water, specifically the guava one (which doesn't really taste like guava). I say thank you Ex. You made my nights sleep a lot better.

Good Night Drink 'n' Dream
Let me start off by saying that I absolutely love the design on this can. It may be the best looking packaging of anything we've reviewed yet. It's simple and pleasant. From color to typeface everything is perfect.
I couldn't sleep last night. I blame this on my cat. Earlier in the day I was sitting on my bed reading, and she jumped up and curled into a ball under my arm. I took advantage of this rare scenario and ended up falling asleep. Cut to the middle of the night and I'm still awake after watching yet another mediocre movie. I grabbed this from the fridge and drank it down. It is lightly carbonated with a strawberry taste to it. It's a very specific strawberry taste, not like biting into a big juicy berry. It took me awhile to figure it out, but it reminds me of the strawberry fluoride that you got at the dentist when you were a kid. The thing is this wasn't gross. Yes it tastes slightly medicinal, but was pleasant in a way that I didn't expect.
It didn't work like I had hoped it would. I was probably being impatient though as it was late, and all I wanted to do was sleep. Miracle cures don't exist. Remember that. After awhile (it seemed like forever, but was probably about a half hour) I passed out to a dream filled slumber. In one of the dreams I was on a road trip in a van with a bunch of friends and their fathers. We stopped at a weird rest stop and Mike and I looked at strange drinks. I guess that's not too far from my real life, except in the dream I drove 16 hours straight. Sometimes dreams are just more exhausting than real life.

iChill Relaxation Shot
Things got real weird in my brain last night. I’m not one to subscribe to the preaching of the apocalypse, but for some reason as I lay in bed, trying to fall asleep I started to wonder if all this jazz about the Mayan calendar was correct, and that the world was going to end in a couple of weeks. It started off with me thinking that everything was going to end in one big shebang, like the sun was going to collide with the Earth and everyone and everything would die instantaneously. At this point I just tried to get everything in order in my mind of where I wanted to be, and with who (aka the woods with my close family and friends). I thought I was okay with that, but then my pre-sleep mind started to think about what would happen if there was disaster everyone, but I still lived. I instantly wrote off zombies, and thought more of a The Road type scenario. I was trying to figure out everything I would have to get together and where I’d go when I decided that I was an idiot and I really needed to get to sleep, so I reached into my nightstand and pulled out this bad boy. It certainly helped calm my brain down, and made it do normal brain things like sleep when it’s 3am and you have to be up in six hours. Thank goodness for melatonin, valerian root and rose hips.
Oh you want to know what it tastes like? Well it starts with a berry flavor, that is heavy on the blueberry side of things, and then it takes a quick turn that reminds me of iced teas that I have gotten at Asian markets that have licorice root in them. It doesn’t taste like black jellybeans, but it tastes like a natural tea, or chewing on a switch from a licorice tree. So we have a decent flavor and no worries about the end of the world…I feel fine.

Just Chill Tropical Chill
I've been unpacking into my apartment all week and figuring out what I need to do/buy. I didn't go to bed until after 2:30. At 5am I was still laying there awake thinking about things that needed to get done. Normally I'm out as soon as my head hits the pillow, but occasionally I have nights like these. It was about this time that I remembered that I had some relaxation drinks chilling in the fridge.
I know this wasn't meant to be a sleeping pill in a can, but if it would reduce my stress and help me not worry about a million things, it would be just what I needed. I downed the can (it's weird drinking a carbonated beverage fairly quickly when you're trying to sleep) and lay back down in bed. Within ten minutes I was out. My brain certainly did chill out.
Unfortunately here at Thirsty Dudes our rating isn't totally based on functionality. We're actually more concerned with the way a drink tastes. This is fruity tasting, but in a very light, light way. It's not diet tasting, and it's completely natural, but there's something about it that didn't quite sit right with me. I left a little in the can to taste this morning as I wrote the review. I can say it tastes better when it's no longer carbonated.
One other thing; I absolutely hate it when any company uses the "Papyrus" typeface. It's everywhere and you don't even realize it until it's pointed out. After that you see it everywhere and it's unnerving. There are only two lines of text on the can that use it, but it's enough to annoy me.
