POP Water Orange

POP Water Orange
I'm pretty sure that generic diet orange soda might be the world's worst pop. Regular orange soda has its place in the world and that place is at barbeques and accompanying hot (veggie) dogs in every capacity. Its diet counterpart belongs nowhere except down the drain. I wonder if there is a single person out there who actually enjoys it. If you find one I'd like to hook them up to a polygraph, because I'm pretty sure there are a no good dirty liar.

POP Water has attempted to make a low calorie orange soda that is actually drinkable. They have succeeded to some extent. This doesn't have an overbearing diet taste to it, but there is still enough of it to make me feel like I'm not truly enjoying it. The orange flavor is decent enough. It doesn't contain any juice, but it does have extracts of natural orange. It tastes like a light orange soda until you swallow and then you get the stevia/erythritol in the aftertaste mucking everything up. I've said it before and I'll say it again. They should have just kept their limited amount of real sugar and left it at that. Any drink I've ever had with a zero calorie sweeter would have been better without it.

POP Water Grape

POP Water Grape
What a bummer, all I have to drink is this delicious soda that tastes like it was made with real grape juice, and it's only lightly sweetened with real sugar. What would really make this better would be if I could just dump a whole mess of erythritol and stevia in it to give it a weird fake taste that no one really likes. Man that would be just perfect. Oh , you have some of those natural zero calorie sweeteners that I can use. Thanks man, I really appreciate it, now that I mixed it in this is perfect. It's exactly what I didn't want. Dreams do come true.

POP Water Pineapple

POP Water Pineapple
I did not know what to expect with a brand name like Pop Water. Would it be an unsweetened soda, like seltzer water? Would it be watered down soda pop? Would it be water that exploded in your mouth a la Pop Rocks? Would your mind instantly be filled with images of Pop Art that was created by Andy Warhol? It was all a mystery that I looked forward to investigating.

Truth be told it was a very short investigation. I popped open the can took one sip and realized that there was no mysterious excitement in this can. Its contents fell somewhere between seltzer and soda pop. It is like a lighter version of a diet pop that somehow doesn't taste overly diet, even though it is sweetened with erythritol and stevia. There is 0% juice in here, but it does contain extracts of natural pineapple. Whatever constitutes that is enough for the pineapple flavor in here to be very light, but also very accurate to the fruit.
