Wendy's FruiTea Chillers Orange Mango

Wendy's FruiTea Chillers Orange Mango
Oh what a treat. Look, hate fast food all you want. I didn't eat Wendy's for years due to a food poisoning issue which made me hallucinate. Bad sour cream man, don't mess with that at all. Old dairy? Leave it alone. You've got things to do and hopefully those things don't involve you getting the sweats and sleeping the rest of the day away.

They have stepped up their game, though and this is a fantastic drink. After drinking the blueberry pineapple, I thought it fair to try the orange mango. Man. What a tropical voyage this guy is. Decent orange and good mango put together in one small drink. They spruced it up with a lemon and it was a wonderful addition.

Look, I know it sounds like I'm really hamming it up for Wendy's but dude; seriously, this is a legitimately good drink you should try before they pull it. Be mad they took it away. Don't be mad you didn't get a chance to try it. Starting now, I told you so.

Wendy's FruiTea Chillers Blueberry Pineapple

Wendy's FruiTea Chillers Blueberry Pineapple
I don't hate Wendy's. I used to. Oh how I used to hate Wendy's. Give a man food poisoning and it's hard to win back his heart. Somehow, they did it. That and there is a girl that works there named Lizz, with two Zs that is fantastic and another woman who is equally nice and hands out mints. Enough of the staff. Review.

They just released the FruiTea Chillers which, I'm pretty sure is just tea with juice in it but nonetheless, I had to try. You know who I am. This is good and it's a combination that you don't normally see. Blueberry is typically paired with pomegranate and pineapple is paired with...orange? Usually something citric. Blueberry and pineapple, though. That's a dynamic duo. It's they're already good unsweet tea and two fruits that are great. Mix them together and it's just as you would think; three great things hanging out together. Little bit of everyone mixed together doing stuff right. I would say that there is no more added sugar than is in the juice. It's good. I'll get another. Maybe today if I'm good of course. I've got to earn it.

Wendy's Blackberry Lemonade

Wendy's Blackberry Lemonade
I have been in Florida for the past five days and I have not done any reviews. I apologize but it wasn't for lack of trying. Where I was wasn't exactly "bodega friendly" and everywhere I went had stuff we already did. To my surprise, when I went to Wendy's to get a strawberry tea they had this little number. Sure, I wish this was a blackberry tea and not blackberry lemonade but I was hot and needed to cool down with something. This was a good choice but a choice I probably won't make again. Why? Well every sip was very sweet and that's just part of the lemonade. She is naturally a sweet beast and Wendy's "medium" is too large and that is a lot of sugar to ingest. The lemonade was nice, though and the blackberry was quite present in every sip. You could see some "stuff" at the bottom (sugar and lemon bits), which is always good when it comes to lemonade.

My thirst was quenched and my temperature dropped but blackberry tea it was not. I know it's not what I ordered but with every sip I wish that it existed. Wendy's if you're reading this, whatever you do to extract the blackberry to put in the lemonade, put it in the tea, too. Your strawberry tea is now a staple every time I go there. The blackberry would instantly and surely surpass that.

Wendy's Strawberry Iced Tea

Wendy's Strawberry Iced Tea
Come along with me, if you will. Travel with me back in time to an hour ago when I ordered this drink. I says to the lady I say, "I'll have a strawberry iced tea." to which she responds with, "It's unsweetened." and I responded with, "That's even better."

Cut to five minutes later and I'm sitting down and I take my first sip and think to myself, "What the heck just happened to this iced tea?" I take another sip and see what's going on. What they did is take the unsweetened tea and pour an allocated amount of strawberry puree into it. It is actually very good. The strawberry takes a bit out of the tea, if I'm being honest. I enjoy the taste of unsweetened tea so if they cut it down on the amount of puree and let the tea shine through a little bit more, this would absolutely be something I come back to time and time again.

A nice walk back to the office with a little of the ice melted cut down on the sweetness and turned the once good drink into a really good drink. Wendy and your squad of workers, you have done good by me today.

Wendy's Iced Coffee Mocha

Wendy's Iced Coffee Mocha
There was a period of about five years where I wouldn't step foot in a Wendy's. I got food poisoning from a taco salad and hallucinated. My friend called me and I told him that I couldn't leave my bed and that I was "trippin' balls." I'll never forget. Cut to many years later and we've made amends. I'm not one to hold a grudge so it was only a matter of time before we got back together.

Now that we're friends again, I try their new stuff when it comes out; for me and for you. I don't know how new this is but I don't remember seeing it before so I got it. I never know what to expect with coffee because I don't know what ratio of coffee to other will be. In this case, I'm saying it's 2:1. I don't drink coffee but I have drunk enough coffee drinks to feel like I know what the scale of coffee is. This is an average coffee with enough mocha in there to distract you from it. Together it works but I think on it's own it couldn't hack it. A fast food coffee connoisseur could tell me for sure but I feel pretty confident in saying that. It was not too sweet and didn't taste like someone just threw some chocolate syrup and sugar in an old cup of coffee so that's a plus. Like I said, together they work well together. Aside, it would be like Chris Lowe without Neil Tennant. It just wouldn't work. Neil, I'm sorry, but you should know that "Please" is one of the top five pop records of all time. I don't know if Neil could do it without you. You are a team. Please stay that way forever.

Wendy's Wild Berry Tea

Wendy's Wild Berry Tea
Look, if Jay can review McDonald's Shamrock Shake I can review this, right? Right. I saw that they had it, it was something new, I thought it would accompany my standard "Number 6" spicy chicken nicely. Was I right? Well that all depends. Did I want tea? Yes. Did I get tea? Kind of. Did I enjoy what I got? I don't think what I asked for was what I got. Allow me to explain.

You know what tea is, right? Sure you do. You're not some sort of dummy. Tea is great. Sweetened or unsweetened, tea is great. I know for a fact that Wendy's knows what tea is, too, because I typically get an unsweetened tea from them. This didn't taste like a tea at all, but a watered down wild berry nectar. I didn't get any tea flavor. The berry was strong but it tasted like real berry. It wasn't too sweet, although initially it was because whatever they used as flavor lingered at the bottom like a leaves at the bottom of a pool. It created a sort of gradient where it just wasn't stirred enough so I made sure to stir it up a lot more. It was a titch syrupy, and that's why if they left it that thick, left some seeds in there, and sold it as a wild berry nectar, this would have gotten a higher review.

Taking this into consideration, if you want light nectar with a decent wild berry taste, get this. If you want a wild berry tea, you're going to be disappointed.
