Neutron Energy Citrus
I'm Ron and I work at the Large Hadron Collider. Well, that should be the past tense actually. I USED to work there. Why don't I work there anymore you ask? Well I have that sweet and delicious Neutron Energy drink to blame.
You see, we weren't allowed to go out much. Long hours, 80+ hours a week. It was rough. Anyways, to keep us alert they put in an energy drink vending machine. Sure it had the standard Amp, Red Bull, Rockstar, etc... The bosses thought they were so clever when they found this Neutron Energy drink and put it in there. My favorite was the citrus. It has a really delicious orange taste to it, almost a tangerine if you will. I'm getting off topic, sorry.
So one day I’m checking the gauges to make sure everything is running smoothly. I was in the middle of a 16-hour shift so I started to doze a little while I was standing up. Olaf saw this and asked if I wanted an energy drink. After accepting his offer, he throws it to me from 30 feet away. Now on a good day, I can catch a fly ball in right field. Unfortunately this was not a good day due to my lack of sleep. My attempts to catch it only made its trajectory worse. Looking back, I should have just stepped out of the way. If I had done that, the can wouldn't have ended up in the air intake valve causing a 15-hour shut down.
I tried to blame Olaf, but the security video just shows me knocking a can into the multi-billion dollar machine. I'm actually lucky I only got fired. They probably could have sued me. You know what the best part is? The engineer who fixed it is a friend of mine gave me the can. It's pretty badly mangled, but I have it on my mantle now. It reminds me of a better time, a time when I wasn't bagging groceries at Safeway.

Neutron Energy Sugar Free Citrus
Life in the lab is hard work. Long hours, no time to socialize (except at home on World of Warcraft), hardly any sleep, etc... We used to have a coffee pot in the lab. Unfortunately one time I accidentally poured mercury into it. I almost made a cup of coffee with it to give to the new janitor Franklin, but I decided I didn't want to accidentally cause someone else's death.
Sadly, my coffee drinking days in the lab are over. Which is why, like most scientists, I have switched to energy drinks. Most of my colleagues like the standard ones: Red Bull, Monster, Rockstar, Amp, etc... While those are all fine, I prefer to dig a little and find some hidden gems. This Neutron Energy one is one of my favorites currently. I was drawn to it by the name and artwork obviously. I love tart drinks as well and this one can definitely be classified as such. It has a strong grapefruit taste, which is awesome. It has a slight diet taste, but it definitely tastes better than most energy drinks. I've obviously never drank mercury coffee, but I’m sure it tastes better than that as well.

Neutron Energy Drink
This energy drink company missed out on a perfect marketing opportunity. I found this at Big Lots, which means it has been discontinued. I searched for a website for Neutron Energy and only found other sites looking for their website. So I'm pretty sure this company is no longer around, which is too bad (I'll get to why in a minute).
What could have saved them is if they would have did a little marketing push and got their drink on the TV show The Big Bang Theory. If you've never seen it, it's basically all about four nerdy guys (three physicists and an aerospace engineer) a who work at an university in California, eat lots of Thai food and love comic books and video games. Anyways, one 20 second joke by Sheldon about how there is no way the energy drink can be as powerful as the energy from neutrons and they would have been set. Instead of talking about finding this in Big Lots, I would be talking about how I saw it on the latest episode of The Big Bang Theory.
It's a shame this drink is discontinued because it's actually pretty good for an energy drink. It reminds me a lot of the original flavor of Monster. It has a nice sour citrus flavor to it. Of course it also has the patented energy drink taste as well so it's not that amazing. At least it works as an energy drink because I'm not falling asleep in my chair anymore.
