V8 V-Fusion Pomegranate Blueberry

V8 V-Fusion Pomegranate Blueberry

Can we all agree that the beverage world has taken pomegranates and blueberries too far? It seems that nearly every company out there has that flavor in their line. Sure some of them add acai into the mix, but that’s not really helping much. I understand the allure of antioxidants, but I’m just getting so tired of this flavor (orange mango is not that far behind). The thing is that these are flavors that I loved, and I was excited when they were more accessible in drink form, but enough is enough.

At least with this beverage V8 uses real juice, so it tastes like the fruit. They also mix in some other fruits (apples and white grapes) as well as some vegetables (sweet potatoes, purple carrots, tomatoes, and carrots), which give the drink a little something extra that makes it ticker and darker tasting. It’s still primarily pomegranate and blueberry but you can certainly tell that there are some other flavors floating around in the mix.

If this were 5-10 years ago I probably been all over this drink, but it’s too late in my beverage life to fully enjoy it the way that perhaps an eight year old would. Man, I wish I could enjoy this drink like he would. I also wish I could enjoy new music as much as he does. Looks like I’ll be listening to R.E.M. for the millionth time and complain about how bands don’t sound like this anymore. I’m old, it’s my right.

989 OnDemand Pomegranate Blueberry

989 OnDemand Pomegranate Blueberry

I've said it before and I'll say it again, this is an awesome design. The OnDemand system is a dual twist cap with a concentrated liquid, not a powder, in the cap. The first time I had one it all came out at once. Today when I drank this it was a more tranquil, slow drip that was almost therapeutic to watch. It lasted for a while and I could see it all spiral into the water.

I do not think that it was a good representation of pomegranate and/or blueberry. It's alright but I think it's a bit skewed by the Stevia. It's not bad and it's still fruity but something about it tastes artificial, like if all the crops in the world were destroyed and someone salted the earth so nothing could grow and someone artificially created all fruit flavors. Maybe not to that extreme, but you feel me. I like it a lot though. It's like a fruitier, strong apple juice.

If you are an alien and you're reading this, number one, congratulations on deciphering our language. I have heard it is very hard to learn. Secondly, please don't destroy our crops. I know from space we don't look like much but we make a fine ear of corn. Just take some of it. I'm sure someone would give you enough to last you a long time. We've also got quite a lot of seeds that you can use to grow your own environment permitting. I think that fast food could last in space and we have too much of that. Take that. I'm not going to look down on you if you eat a Whopper.

Celebri Tea Natural Green Tea Pomegranate Blueberry

Celebri Tea Natural Green Tea Pomegranate Blueberry

Did you see that? You didn't? Oh man. You missed it! You didn't see who that was? Oh man. It was Vincent D'onofrio; the greatest actor of our time. Uh, yes I do mean that. You know what...I'm going back. He deserves to hear about how awesome he is and how I was truly sad about Criminal Intent being off the air. I don't care that him and Eames didn't get together. They are a great team. I've got this bottle of Celebri Tea and since he is a celebrity...see what I'm doing here? I'm going to give it to him. Stay here.

Mr. D'onofrio. I've got this bottle of tea for you and I wanted to say thank you for your years of hard work on Law & Order. I really think you are a fantastic actor and although I know you were great in Adventures in Babysitting and Full Metal Jacket, I really think you came into your own on Criminal Intent. I just wanted to come over here to give you this bottle of tea as a thank you for your years of service to television. Why yes, sir. There is a sip taken out of it. It's like ninety degrees out here and I didn't plan on seeing you. This is all I have on me. A drink with a couple sips taken out of it. I'm giving the rest to you. I'm not sick or anything and look, it's still cold. Come on, Vince. It's really good. It's really bitter like a green tea should be and for the first time in a long time the Stevia isn't overpowering and lets the flavors really do their thing. It's fruity and is overall a pretty fantastic tea.

I'm just going to leave it here on this bench and leave you with this; you are a wonderful man and I'm happy to have met you. Please tell the rest of the cast that they were all spectacular and I was sad to see them go. Seriously, dude. Drink that tea. I don't want it to go to waste. If you...Vincent. If you are not going to drink it...fine. You know what? I'm taking it. It's so hot here. Jesus. What is this place? The center of the sun? Vinnie, you're great but I can't stand this heat. Take care of yourself.

Pit Bull Energy Drink Pomegranate Blueberry

Pit Bull Energy Drink Pomegranate Blueberry

Okay, does this company have anything to do with the hip hop artist Pit bull? There is nothing about him on the can, or the website (that I saw), but the web address is www.hiphopbev.com. That makes me think that he is behind it, but I don't think he is. Come on Pit bull take a break from thinking about how you performed on the Super Bowl halftime show, and get at me with some answers to these questions. Okay, technically it's only one question.

This drink was surprisingly tasty. In a sea of energy drinks that all taste fairly similar, this one stuck out to me. It has a strong fruit juice flavor, albeit a little candied. It's very sweet, but not disgustingly so. Actually now that I think about it the flavor reminds me of blue Pixie Sticks if they tasted more like actual fruit. Maybe its flavor really isn't that far off from its competitors.

The can says, "Guaranteed no aftertaste." Apparently Pit Bull's word isn't worth very much because there is definitely an aftertaste to this drink. It's mild, fruity and sweet, but it still is an aftertaste. Do I get the fifty cents I paid for this drink back because of that botched guarantee? Apparently their word isn't worth much, as it has a fruity sweet aftertaste, albeit mild. Not too bad on the energy drink taste. Tastes like a blue pixie stick if it tasted closer to the real fruits

Mash Pomegranate Blueberry

Mash Pomegranate Blueberry

Oh gee. I hope this doesn't taste like loganberry. I mean, don't get me wrong, I like loganberry. I kind of have to, I mean, I am from Western New York. So, to reiterate, I hope this doesn't taste like loganberry. Oh, fantastic, it tastes like loganberry. Oh great, it's carbonated and filled with artificial sweeteners. Awesome, a diet, carbonated loganberry. Plus, factor in the point that I don't know how much I just paid for this and this adds up to the start of a horror story of a drink. If you had to bottle and flavor a horror movie, it would be this drink. If you could have a flavored knife cut across your jugular, it would be a terribly dull knife that, when licked, would taste like this. If you were to be disemboweled by an inanimate object, a large bottle of this would have protruding arms and legs pulling at your entrails, all the while laughing menacingly and squirting it's liquid in your mouth.

Lipton 100% Natural Pomegranate Blueberry

Lipton 100% Natural Pomegranate Blueberry

You've got a great son, Mr. Ziegler. Roy Jr. is a bit high strung at times and often likes to plot other children's demise, but all in all, he's not a bad kid. He's good at math, but not so good at history. He's good at science, but not so good at English.

Reason I called you down here is because of two things. He brought this Lipton 100% Natural iced tea in and passed it around to the rest of the class. Although his sharing is great, it felt almost as if he coerced the other kids into doing it. Like they were doing his bidding. Have you ever noticed that type of behavior before? Like he had taken control of their minds through some sort of magic and was making them take sips from this one bottle. I took the bottle from him and made him finish his work but I've got to be honest with you. The drink, although good, was not the best. I found it lackluster and a bit...forgettable. It was a bit too sweet because of the Stevia. The flavor was alright, but I took a couple sips and never really craved going back to it. I drank it because it was there. That's not really that great? So, why did Roy Jr. tell everyone it was the greatest? You might just want to work on getting him to wash his hands and inform him about the danger of germs.

Second thing is that he brought in this magazine...I can't stop thinking about that magazine. I mean, where did he get it? I can't get those images out of my head.

PRE Probiotic Enhancer Pomegranate Blueberry

PRE Probiotic Enhancer Pomegranate Blueberry

I didn't mind the PRE powdered drinks at all. It's nice to not have aspartame in my powder. I mean, I could probably drink Kool-Ade all day, and that's sugar, but to know that I'm not rotting my teeth from the back to the front gave me a little sense of mind at the end of the day.

This drink was different than the other ones. It was a bit more watery, a bit less flavorful, a bit more diet tasting. The diet part is strange, though, since it's not a diet drink. It's low calorie, but it's not labeled a "diet" drink per se.

So on to the drink again. It's not bad. If you like a little bit of flavor and a lot a bit of quench and the knowledge you're doing something good for yourself with prebiotics, this is the drink for you. Honestly, this drink isn't not for anyone, but I know that some people who enjoy and prefer a crude blast of flavor might be taken back at the suitableness of this drink.

Think of this drink as the girl who is pretty cute, incredibly smart, and you know when you go to your ten year reunion, she's going to be a doctor. She deserves it because, after all, she worked her butt off in school and you knew she was destined for great things. In my school, her name was Tyra.

Twist Pomegranate Blueberry

I like flavored waters. I saw this and immediately bought it. I anticipated a night, light flavor but I was promptly let down. I am unfamiliar with the taste of agave but between this and the "natural organic pomegranate blueberry flavor" it tasted...fake.

Twist Lightly Flavored Water, Pomegranate Blueberry, 19-Ounce Bottles (Pack of 12)

Purity Organic Pomegranate Blueberry

Purity Organic Pomegranate Blueberry

Pomegranate and blueberry; the ultimate antioxidant team. This is the time of year people need to be drinking this the most. It's snowing and everyone is indoors more. Everyone's sick and sneezing and the germs are flying everywhere. Since the windows stay shut, the germs just bounce around the house until everyone is sick. Everyone that is that doesn't drink a butt load of antioxidant-laden beverages.
This has a nice blend of the two fruits (and a few others) that leaves you with the distinct taste of both of them, without either being too harsh. There are other vitamins thrown in as well to keep your health up. I'm going to start mainlining the stuff. I don't want to spend another winter with a constant cold.
