Manzanita Sol
I wish I were a preteen in Mexico at a party where this is being served. From the look and taste of this any party at which it is made available has to be pretty incredible. Also, from what I’ve heard birthday parties in Mexico are a big deal. Everyone comes and hangs out and has a good time. Obscene amounts of delicious food are consumed and of course there are piñatas. Who doesn’t love a piñata? I was to be one of those children bashing the hell out of a piñata with a broom stick and then washing down it’s sweet, sweet innards with a bottle of this apple soda.
Unlike a lot of other apple sodas this actually tastes like apples. It has sugar added, so it has a bit of that candy apple taste to it, but it’s not as strong as others I’ve had. It’s shocking that Pepsi-Cola would make such a tasty drink. If ever there was a fun soda this is it. It’s certainly not a drink made to be drunk it a solitary manner. It’s made to be enjoyed at parties, and while I did drink it alone in my print shop, I assure you that my mind was a couple of thousand miles southwest in a quaint little foreign town.
