Sipp Lemon Flower

Sipp Lemon Flower
Enough of the puns, Charlie. You buy a drink called "Sipp" and now you won't stop saying "I have to take another sip. Oh. I think I'll take another sip. Just one more sip will do." Can't you use the word "drink" or "gulp" or something?

I don't know what to do with you, Charlie. I mean, it can't be that good that you want to savor it for...thirty minutes. Come on, Charlie. We're going to be late for the party. Can I help you drink that? Thanks.

You know what? This is pretty good. It's mostly lemon but at the end you get a little bit of the licorice from the tarragon. I don't really know what elderflower tastes like but the drink in its entirety is pretty light. It's sweet, but it's not overly sweet or lemony or licoricy. It's a nice drink. I don't know how you've been mulling it so long. I'm done with my half and I enjoyed it and I gave you a little review. You are just sitting there like a turd saying the word "sip" over and over again. If you make me late for this Power Rangers costume party I'm going to be very upset. You know how long I've been waiting to put my two classes of karate to good use. I might have to do it twice tonight because I'm about to karate chop you in the neck if you don't finish that drink.

Give Energy Lite Tangerine Melon

Give Energy Lite Tangerine Melon
This has no redeeming social value. I know what you're thinking, “How can that be true? Tangerine Melon sounds astronomically good.” On any other day you would be correct with that statement. Unfortunately today is not my day, and to be fair this wouldn't be good even if we were in a post-apocalyptic world where water was worth more than diamonds, and you were crossing a desert without a sweet neck-bandana hat like Joe Strummer wore in the Rock the Casbah video.

One would be quick to blame the stevia for horribleness in this can, but I have grown accustomed to that particular sweetener and it no longer bothers me. While the zero calorie sweetener doesn't help much the problem is rooted way deeper. Also, it's a light drink so there is a margin a leniency with the sweetener. I would have let a lot slide, but Give has done me wrong.

Perhaps the windmill on the can was downwind from a garbage dump and they decided to filter the liquid through the stink lines it produced. It's extremely lightly flavored (yet very stevia sweetened) and what little flavor it has just tastes wrong. I was looking for a nice refreshing drink, and what I was delivered was quickly introduced to my neighborhood sewage system.

The Organimals Organic Soda Drink Kohala Cola

The Organimals Organic Soda Drink Kohala Cola
Everyone knows that koalas sit around in trees all day tripping their balls off from the eucalyptus leaves they eat. Guess what, everyone is wrong. While eucalyptus is a staple in the animals diet it does not have any mind-altering effects on them. They are just lazy animals, which don't eat a proper diet to keep moving throughout the day. Perhaps if they had more of a high-energy diet they would be swinging from the trees like a bunch of monkeys.

In my mind this beverage was whipped up in a lab to get these little guys moving. I'm not sure if there is caffeine in here, like most colas, but I have to believe that lemon and elderberry juice along with agave syrup would have to give them a little more pep than a couple of quasi toxic leaves. Speaking of which, why is there fruit juice in this cola? I actually don't know how this actually tastes like cola with the ingredients that are in it, but it does. It's a slightly fruity cola that has a much different sweetness than most people are used to. I fully support the use of agave to sweeten sodas, but it does have a drawback. When it is used in “brown” pop they never taste as dark as you would want them to. It's something I can overlook though as this gives a new twist to a classic beverage.

Flavrs Liquid Drink Mix Cherry Berry

Flavrs Liquid Drink Mix Cherry Berry
If I've learned one thing from my boss it's that you fill every receptacle in your house or apartment with water as soon as you her that something apocalyptic is about to happen. The water gets contaminated or water supply just gets cut. You end up drinking water of fish bowls and sand pails. For these reasons, you've got to spice it up any way you can.

While you are stocking up on bottled water if you are some sort of clean freak, you should stock up on these little guys. They are discreet and better than a lot of other drink mixes. It's organic, too so you can feel good about the lack of additives that are going into your system while you are absorbing countless radiation charges and poisons from whatever happened during the apocalypse. This is a good juice and doesn't taste like a mix at all. It is actually very cherry and somewhat berry tasting. Not too sweet although since it's a mix, you could make it as sweet or weak as you wanted. It might be the only fruit you're going to get if something happens to the crops.

My boss loves "end of the world" scenario shows and brings the "what ifs" into the office. We enjoy talking about it but not as much as he likes watching them. Also, nothing gets him madder than when they all get cancelled. Apparently no one else besides him thinks that preparedness is a skill worth learning.

Go Girl Bliss Peach

Go Girl Bliss Peach
Back in 1997, "You go girl!" was such a big phrase that a company used it as their name. Go Girl was formed with women in mind. What do women need? Calcium and energy and a proprietary blend of secrets called "Super Citrimax." women crave these things and they don't even know it. Well, no one wants to get osteoporosis, hence the calcium. I guess the need for energy is pretty self explanatory, too. The Citrimax though, like I said, it's proprietary.

Women, the delicate flowers of the human species, need a flavor that matches their personality and what better accompaniment than the soft flavor of a peach.

What Go Girl doesn't tell you is that inside this feminine can resides a pretty basic, diet tasting peach tea. Although Yerba Mate is included in the package, you have none of the bitterness but you might get some of the energy. Halfway there, I suppose.

Go Girl is doing good things for good people but fall short since it almost uses all-natural ingredients. Sucralose was never found on any tree or bush I've ever seen. I'm no horticulturist, but I know a thing or two about artificial sweeteners.

Go Girl? You go girl...to re-research a better blend of an all-natural, peach, Yerba Mate tea.

Half this review is factual. You guess which half.

Sonu Mango Peach

Sonu Mango Peach
Mark, I asked you to get me a flavored water. What is this crap you brought me? Sure its got water in it's name, but this tastes more like a juice than water. It's so darn sweet. It's absolutely nothing like what I wanted. I wanted something as light as can be, very crisp and just slightly flavored. Well I want it flavored enough that it doesn't taste like someone spit a little juice in my water, but what I want is 98% water. I want it to be like I took a nice frigid pitcher of water out of the fridge, poured myself a nice tall glass. I want that, but lightly flavored, like I said. I want the flavoring to be more of an aftertaste than the actual flavor of the drink. Water first. Flavor second. You have another bottle? That thing looks comically bad. Its label is just screaming artificial sweetener. It's sweetened with agave syrup you say? Well I'll give it a try. Wow this is exactly what I wanted. Now my only problem is that since it's like water I could probably drink ten bottles. Looks like you're going back out in that blizzard to pick up some more. Thanks Mark, you're a doll.

Sipp Sparkling Eco Beverage Mojo Berry

Sipp Sparkling Eco Beverage Mojo Berry
The other flavor of Sipp I had was absolutely incredible. It was one of the best beverages that I have come across in my time here at Thirsty Dudes. With this one they missed the mark a bit.

I love cherries and cherry flavored things. I am not a huge fan of black cherry beverages. I also love berries, all kinds including blackberries, which happen to be my favorite. This drink doesn't taste so much like blackberries as it does a black cherry version of a berry. I don't mean it tastes like black cherry, but whatever the difference is between a regular cherry and a black cherry is what is happening to this berry. I wonder if it's the mint interfering with the blackberry. At first I didn't think I could taste mint, but when I think about it there is a flavor that very well might be the mint. The lime? The lime is fine. It's right where it should be.

I'd like to try this without the mint. I think I would really like it then. Now it's just kind of there. It's not good or bad like uncooked celery.

Sipp Sparkling Eco Beverage Ginger Blossom

Sipp Sparkling Eco Beverage Ginger Blossom
I am convinced that in a few moments I will wake up and I will be hooked up to all sorts of crazy scientific equipment. There will be EKGs, MRIs and various other three-letter acronyms. This is my thought process because I can not believe that this drink exists. Surely my fellow scientists have me hooked up to machines so that they can peer into my dreams and see the insanity that roams around my cranial cavity.

In essence this is a ginger cream soda. How awesome is that? To sweeten the pot a tad bit of lime was introduced into the mix. It has the flavor of a ginger beverage that would ravage your throat, but one of the other flavors is keeping the burn in check and it goes down as smooth as can be. I have never had a drink with such a pure ginger taste that didn't burn. The vanilla is absolutely prefect. It's not too creamy or overbearing. It blends right in with the ginger. I'm not sure what the lime is doing. It's in there, that is for sure, but it's just a hint and that's all there needs to be. To put a cherry on the proverbial top it is sweetened with agave.

My neuro patterns must be going insane right now. This is hands down one of the best beverages I have ever tasted. Mike if I wake up and you're in a lab coat standing over me with Manny on the table next to you, I will be forced to punch you directly in the throat for bringing this non-existent beverage into my consciousness. If not and this is real, then I need to order this by the case.

Honest Tea Jasmine Green Energy Tea

Honest Tea Jasmine Green Energy Tea
If I was an expert on such things, and being a scientist I would say I am an expert on all things, I would say that jasmine tea is the cleanest of all teas. Per capita I bet jasmine has less dirt and filth on it than any other tea. Do a study on it I dare you! You can tell by the taste. It's a tea made for germaphobes.

This in particular is one of the best jasmine iced teas I've ever tasted. Most that I've come by have been unsweetened, which is all well and good. Honest decided to sweeten it ever so slightly with agave, my hats off to them for that. It's just a little, but it evens out the bitterness to a perfect degree. With every sip the floweriness of jasmine hits you first and then it passes the torch onto the bitterness of the green tea. If they ran a relay race they would surely win the gold.

The flavor is called "Jasmine Green Energy Tea" not only because of the caffeine in the teas used (to be honest this whole bottle has the amount of caffeine as half a cup of coffee), but also because the company donates money towards renewable "green" energy. I missed Earth Day by 19 hours with this, but I will pretend it's still going on.

Honest Mate Agave Mate

Honest Mate Agave Mate
I know the Honest company usually makes pretty straight forward unsweetened tea. When I saw a flavor called Agave Mate that knowledge left my brain. I was expecting this to be a really sweet mate. I was wrong. The agave in the tea is barely noticeable. Overall it tastes liked iced down yerba mate. I was a bit disappointed because of my expectations. After a few sips I got over it, and I realized I enjoyed it. If you're a fan of unsweetened tea, this is a drink for you.
