Swiss Premium Sweet Tea Southern Style

Swiss Premium Sweet Tea Southern Style

There is something very particular about the way the sugar tastes in southern sweet tea, and Swiss has hit the bulls-eye. It's overly sweet, but without the terrible sickly sweet aftertaste. A lot of companies have been trying to replicate this taste, and this is one of the better versions I have had. I for one am glad that Swiss has come out with a Premium line.

Lipton PureLeaf Sweetened

Lipton PureLeaf Sweetened

Everyone has had Lipton iced tea, but they've got so many different lines that you shouldn't nail them down to the abomination that is Brisk.

This tea is very strong in its black tea taste and is very sweet but doesn't taste terrible. Is that hard to imagine? I know. Nice thing is that this is all natural with not fructose garbage and you can get it anywhere.

Give Lipton another chance. Forget the stuff you've had before and start from scratch.

Mate Fusion Blueberry Acai Tea

Mate Fusion Blueberry Acai Tea

I'm glad that there are a handful of companies popping up who are using mate in their iced teas. It has a very unique flavor, and it is a source of more caffeine then other teas. This is the first time I've tried Mate Fusion, and they have made themselves a great little beverage. The blueberry slightly overpowers the mate in the flavor department. It's very refreshing, and I can see myself enjoying it again on a hot summer day.

Mt. Angel Root Beer

Mt. Angel Root Beer

I saw this bottle at New Seasons yesterday and was drawn in by the plain label in a sea of colorful bottles. I had high hopes for this micro-brewed root beer, and I wasn't let down. I wish all root beer was this smooth. Even though I've only had one bottle so far, I think this is easily in my top 5 root beers.

North American Beverage Chocolate Moose Chocolate Mousse

North American Beverage Chocolate Moose Chocolate Mousse

Who doesn't love chocolate milk? Not me. Love the stuff. It's downright awful for you, but seriously you're drinking chocolate. What do you expect?

This stuff tastes like pudding skins, which is ultra awesome. I love me some chocolate mousse, and I might be lucky if I get it more than once a year. This drink will not supplement my desire for said treat, but you know what? This isn't just chocolate milk. It's not the delicious, processed, smooth Nesquik or whatever you're used to drinking. This is different. It's probably the Dutch cocoa they use to make it.

I would say if you're not vegan, and you see this, get it and leave a comment, please. I'm interested in what others think of this stuff. I got it at my local Big Lots, which, if it is not nationwide, is a discount everything store, kind of in the same vein as Aldi's if you have that, although I don't think they carry this.

Mira Guava Nectar

Mira Guava Nectar

When I was in high school I was obsessed with guava. It may or may not have had something to do with the Ween album I bought being called "Pure Guava." Regardless anytime I ever saw anything guava flavored (which wasn't very often) I jumped at a chance to try it. Years later, I don't really care about Ween anymore, but my love of guava has kept strong. This drink is one of the better that I've had throughout my life. It's sweetened guava puree, and what else could you ask for. I'll tell you what, for it to come in a bigger bottle, so I'm not left craving more when it's gone.

Chadwick Bay Enhanced Green Tea with Ginseng and Honey

Chadwick Bay Enhanced Green Tea with Ginseng and Honey

Finally. We found a delicious green tea. I can taste everything in this drink down to the real honey and that peculiar green tea and ginseng combo. It doesn't taste fake. It has a nice, sincere bitterness. This is my first Chadwick Bay beverage and I am excited to try more.

Best of all, for me anyway, is that it's a local company. It fills me with a sense of pride for supporting a local business that doesn't suck. It doesn't taste or look small time and for that I give you kudos.

Dr. Pepper Throwback

Dr. Pepper Throwback

I like Dr. Pepper. It's one of the only "standard" pops that I drink. I like the flavor.

For that reason, I liked this throwback version. It didn't have any real different taste, perhaps just a little bit sweeter. It seemed to have a different bite to it. It no longer had the thickness and lastingness of corn syrup and had a more instant and quick taste.

Please, just keep using real sugar and retire your old ways.

Swiss Lemonade

Swiss Lemonade

Imagine, if you will, you are walking down the street. It's hot. You wipe your brow. It's so hot. Why didn't you take your car? Oh, yeah, the alternator is broken. Man...so warm. Why are you wearing those sweatpants? Oh, because you just left your girlfriend's apartment and no one who goes to college wears actual pants. Wait...what? Did someone just say...YES! They did. You put your hand to your face so the glaring sun doesn't get in your eyes and you see two girls. These girls, ages 5 and 7 respectively, are asking if anyone wants lemonade. You clearly do, as you've soaked right through your older brother's old Phish tie dye crew neck sweater. You throw down a moist $1 bill and get a large glass of lemonade and chug it just like you did the night before when you slayed those freshman at flip cup.

Swiss Premium Naturally Flavored Lemonade tastes like kids street lemonade. A lot of sugar, a little bit of lemon, and perfect on a hot summers day.

Chug Milk Shake Chocolate

Chug Milk Shake Chocolate

Well...color me impressed. I read the label and it says "Milk Shake". Whatever dude, it's just chocolate milk lying to me. I will sincerely apologize to you, Chug, as you have actually released a milk shake in a bottle.

I bought this over at the Dollar General on a whim and what a good whim. It is the thickest, creamiest "milkshake in a bottle" I've ever had. It's as if you bought a legit milkshake at your local chromed our diner and let it sit on the table for ten minutes. It tastes like the bottom of every chocolate milkshake you've ever had.

Convinced? Do it. Tom Scharpling says, "Do it." Henry Rollins says, "Do it." I say, "Do it."
