Tim Horton's Latte Hazelnut Mocha
Sick babies mean a lot of things. Number one is that you spend your days dealing with a kid who can't exactly express their discomfort. Number two through forty-five is that you lose a lot of sleep. Finally getting my little buddy to school was fantastic because I can work, feel like I've contributed something to society, and put me one step closer to knowing that we will both not be awakened by coughing, sniffing, and bi-hourly whining.
I found this little number on the limited line and got it. I was reluctant as I am not a coffee person but the combination of hazelnut and mocha can only mean one thing; Nutella, which I love. Oh, I know it's terrible for you, but who cares. Smoking is probably worse for you than a Nutella sandwich, or at least I'd like to think that it is. I was luckily correct and this guy was great. It was more like a Nutella hot chocolate with a little coffee in it. I got it in a small, rather incognito cup but there was some sort of chocolate whipped cream that you couldn't see which cooled it down, cut down on the coffee, and made it smoother so I could actually drink it. I thought it was good and although I couldn't do anything larger than a small, I wouldn't advise not getting something larger. I don't drink a lot of drink so I could do this little, ten-ish ounce guy without feeling the need to share it.
It's not true coffee, I know. I would never say that it is. It's a bastardization of a latte, too and, once again I'm not claiming that I'm an expert. This is one step away from being some garbage powder drink you make at a truck stop but it's something that will make you remember that truck stop for reasons other than the glory hole that was in the bathroom.

Taste Nirvana Latte Thai Coffee
Long nights. I've got clients asking me for sites, girlfriend asking me for sites, and personal "pet project" sites all going on at the same time. These long nights turn in to long days. The long days call for some sort of coffee drink.
I've said it before and I'll say it again; I don't get picked up by drinks. I don't "feel" coffee drinks or energy drinks. Either that of I'm so disconnected from the way my body feels I don't feel highs or lows from stimulates blood sugar. I know I periodically feel "the shakes" but that typically means I need to eat because I stupidly forgot to within the last sixteen hours or so. I do that. I forget. I'm human.
All the same, I was feeling a coffee drink and just so happened to have one. Now I love Thai tea. It's a wonderful treat whether you're enjoying some pho or enjoying a Hot Pocket. What? Barbecue Hot Pockets are nothing short of a treasure. This is less of a treat. Good, but it falls short of its English ingrediented brethren. It's coffee, cream, and sugar. No exotic spices or anything. It claims that it's made with Thai coffee but not being a coffee aficionado, I don't know the difference when masked with full cream and sugar. It's good though. It's no Thai tea, but what is? Am I right? You over there in the "Cat in the Hat" hat. Am I right? Am I right in thinking that it's no longer 1998 and you had your two weeks to legitimately wear that hat and now it's far past out of date? I submit that I am. Take that thing off, will you? Oh, dyed hair put in tiny knots and held together in small, multi-color rubber bands. You're really a piece of work aren't you? Yeah, Korn was great. You're right and I can't argue with that. Carry on.

Tim Horton's Latte Mocha
I am not terribly susceptible to advertising. I find myself to be smarter than that. I don't know why, but I feel I'm wired a little bit differently. That being said, I was completely sold when I saw the billboard for this drink. I wish I had an image for it, but allow me to explain it to you. It was forty feet tall, had chocolate whipped cream, and chocolate shavings. The only thing wrong was that it was a latte. Now you know that I am not coffee's number one fan. I never sent a self addressed stamped envelope to the Coffee Fan Club like I wanted to for the White Zombie fan club in 1996.
I went to one of the near trillion Tim Horton's around me and bought a small, you know, to test it out. I then drove about twenty minutes to the grocery store and didn't touch the thing. In the parking lot, I took a couple sips. It was alright but a bit too coffee for me. That being said, I'm no dumb stupid idiot. It was decent coffee with a decent chocolate/mocha taste, a medium to dark chocolate. I was ready to give it a pretty mediocre review. I came back after an hour of grocery shopping and took another sip. Better. I got home, brought in some groceries, checked the status on the Trials Evolution release date which will never be public, and then went downstairs and we were finally where we wanted to be. The drink had dropped down in temperature to "room level" status. That’s where it's at. I easily drank the rest of it with no problems.
Next time I get it, if I do get it, I will probably get it, put it in the fridge for an hour, and then drink it. I like iced coffee but this was too close to a regular coffee with chocolate in it at standard temperature. Canadians, I am sorry that I am ruining your perfectly good coffee, but I am an adult and can do whatever I want.
