Wegmans Frizzante Cranberry Lime
Do you know what's good? This drink is. I don't know why more things on flavored with cranberry and lime because this was simply amazing. The blood orange was better, if we're picking favorites, but this was very good. Also I enjoyed it came in the smaller bottles in I didn't have to buy a 40 ounce drink that's going to go flat after I open it.
If you are ever in the neighborhood please pick up a bottle of this and you will not be disappointed. Plus a case of four bottles is $5 and that rules.

Hi Ball Sparkling Energy Juice Cranapple
Drinking a Hi Ball just sounds classy, and that is just what this is, a classy energy drink. You know, something for those late night black tie affairs. I mean who would be caught dead drinking a Red Bull at such an event?
This tastes like a watered down Ocean Spray cranapple. I mean that in the best of ways. It's very light, and it's unlikely it will stain your freshly ironed white shirt.
I also really like the vintage logo design.
In conclusion if you need an extra boost of energy, but don't want to feel like you're going to be participating in any extreme sports, look no further.

Sobe Lifewater Cherimoya Punch
Not the worst. That's saying something because when it comes to that yumberry one I've had in the past. It smells a bit like pear, according to my friend Mike. The taste isn't too strong and for that reason, it wins. It's a melon-y, watered down lemonade taste. It's not bad. It's probably a great diet drink because, after all, it has 0 calories.

Peace Tea Razzleberry Tea
I hate that I keep comparing these to Arizona, but they are tall boys of iced tea that are 99 cents. The raspberry one even tastes similar to the Arizona one. It's not as syrupy, but thicker than I expected. I do enjoy it, and I hope the spread to Western New York, so I can grab them on the go. Really, how can you go wrong with a decent tea for that cheap?

Naked Green Machine
The bottle says it all, "Looks weird, tastes amazing." It's made from a whole mess of fruit with the added "boost" of a whole mess of weird vegetables. It's nice to have a "health" drink that tastes great.
It's similar to the Bolthouse Green Goodness, but this just tastes better. It's thick and sweet and yes it "tastes amazing."
Okay I'm done with quotation marks for a while.

Mogu Mogu Strawberry
This was strange. I have personally grown tired of the stingy flavor of these drinks. It doesn't taste bad, per-se, but it's not anything that I would drink out of the context of a mandatory review.
As for the taste, it's got a real strawberry taste. For that I give the fellas and ladies over at Mogu Mogu credit. They use actual strawberry juice in this drink. I saved this one for last and now I wish that I hadn't put so much hope in you, little drink.

Arizona Organic Yumberry Green Tea
I drank nothing but Arizona iced tea for what seemed like years. It was cheap for a decent quantity, and it tasted great. When I stopped drinking HFCS I also lost a taste for Arizona, well except the Black and White. Now that they have released their Organic line I'm back on the team.
It tastes like a nice bitter green tea that has been properly sweetened. The yumberry flavor isn't incredibly strong, but it's there enough to be enjoyed. Someone should send me an actual yumberry. I've never seen one in fruit form.

Ito En Teas' Tea Mint Green
Sugar? Who needs it? This tea sure doesn't. It's a light green tea with no bitterness and the nice, cool aftertaste of real mint. It's pretty great. I know that Ito En sells larger 60oz versions of this baby-sized drink so if you like it, feel free to enjoy it economy sized from here on out. I know you won't be disappointed and you will have a delicious, healthy tea for many meals.

Genesis Today Superfruit Tea
For starters this is made with black, green, white and even red tea. Maybe, just maybe they went a bit overboard. You know what, I don't care. If going overboard is what is needed to make a tea this good, by all means, go ahead.
Most super fruit drinks are a bit crazy tasting and insanely strong, but they somehow managed to just have it taste nice and fruity. Maybe it's the million different teas they used.

Goya Refresco Sangria
Not being a drinker, I don't know what authentic sangria tastes like. I've seen it before and I asked my girlfriend what it tastes like. She said it's just red wine and fruit.
I think this drink was very grape and not much else. I expected fruit and I would have been fine with indefinable fruit flavor, but this just tasted like a weak grape pop. If it was just grape, that would be better than most grape pops I've had in the past because it's typically way too sweet for my tastes.
Was it too much to ask for; a couple apples, grapes, orange, and whatever else you might put in authentic sangria? I might like a tea with that instead of a carbonated drink. Any suggestions?

Steaz Sparkling Green Tea Raspberry
I'm pretty sure there is a basic human need to drink carbonation at times. I've gone through periods where I give up soda all together for awhile. I never actually last very long, because I get this weird feeling in my throat after a week or two and the only way to make that feeling go away is to drink something that has bubbles in it. This inevitably ends up with me drinking some sort of pop a few hours after the feeling's arrival. Sure I could just drink some soda water to “scratch” my throat, but there is something about it that I just can't stomach. Who knew carbon dioxide had a flavor?
I bring all of this up because in the past I always used to wonder why someone didn't carbonate iced tea. I love iced tea; some would say that I was a junkie for it. The idea of being able to get rid of that throat itch with some tea was always the dream. Then some companies finally came out with carbonated tea, and it just turned out all wrong. I don't know exactly what was wrong, but something was missing. I've even had some other Steaz sparkling teas and they didn't live up to my expectations. They are finally onto something with this raspberry one though. It's not 100% there, but it's leagues beyond the other ones I've had. It actually tastes like someone just added bubbles to some raspberry iced tea. I think the thing that seems off about it is that it is green and not black tea. I think this would be close to perfect if it were black tea, but I have very few complaints about its green brother. My only real complaint is it doesn't have that classic bitter green tea aftertaste. The sugar covers it up, which makes me question why they didn't go with black tea, since that aftertaste is what I love about green tea.
To sum things up: Throats get itches that need to be scratched by carbonation. Iced tea is awesome. Carbonated iced tea when done right is also awesome. Scratch your throat with some of this tea from time to time. You deserve it.

Sangaria Ramune Original
When I lived in Boston for the summer of 2000, I found a little Asian market. This was my first experience with international markets and it was wonderful. There is a whole other world of candies, snacks, meat, and most importantly fun drinks. As soon as I got back home, I bought a case of the stuff because I didn't know that you could get it around me.
I had a friend from the Far East named Miki who guided me through the wonderful drink, Ramune.
Oh, you've never had it? It's essentially the most fun bottled drink in existence. Better than cork, bottle cap, or even swing top. The beverage is sealed with a marble and it come with a little plastic popper that you slam over the top and it drops the marble into the drink. Then, there are two little indentions that hold the marble while you take sips than ensure that you don't plug up the hole.
The drink is great too. It's a citrus soda, but it's pretty indescribable when it comes to flavor. It's kind of like a Sprite/7-Up but not really. It's good, though.
If you have never had Ramune before, please get it. I can get it at my local supermarket in the "Asian" section so it might be easier to find than you think.

JCS Reggae Style Ginger Beer
It's almost 3am and I'm in Gainesville, FL. What else would I be doing that drinking this brutal ginger beer? It's got one heck of a burn, and it's nice and sweet. I kind of feel like I just chugged a gallon of liquid smoke. It's probably not a great idea to drink this before bed.

Inko's White Tea Original
This is a very light tea. There is ginger in the ingredients although I didn't get any when I drank this. I was hoping for a little bit more, to be honest. Don't get me wrong this was a good drink. I just wanted...something more, be it flavor or zing, or pep, or something. This is a good compromise when you can't decide whether you want a sweet tea or an unsweetened tea.

Honest Tea Half and Half
I think grandma Honest Tea brewed a nice kettle of tea. She sweetened it slightly, but that wasn't good enough for her ungrateful grandson Jimmy Honest. That little bugger snuck some lemonade and ice when she wasn't looking and dumped it in his glass.

Lane Southern Orchard Strawberry Cider
So, I'm on tour right now, and we have Bedford Falls from Wales with us. We've been trying to show them some regional greatness as we travel around the U.S. While driving through Georgia (blasting R.E.M. of course) I saw a sign for a peach farm, so of course we had to stop. Hoping to get the world's greatest peaches, we were let down to find they weren't in season. I was able to pick up some unusual ciders though. This is one of them.
Imagine going out on the farm. It's hot. Sweat is beading up on your brow. You need to finish picking these strawberries though. If you don't, the birds will get them. So you gather a bushel. Now you're back in the kitchen. Hey! Rinse those off! What are you some kind of savage? Okay so now you've sliced them up. Pour a great big helping of sugar on top and let it soak into the juices. Take a bite. Take a big...bigger bite. Now you know exactly how this wonderful beverage tastes.

Delta Blues Tea Punch Peachy Keen
I found this little treat while passing through Tennessee. It's a real weird green tea. I assumed it was peach because of the name, but it's made with orange and lime juice. Not a peach in site. Orange and lime is a good combination. I don't know why it's not mixed more often.
It's pretty much a southern sweet tea, but made with green tea instead of black. It's weird, but nice. It's also infused with "delectable lemongrass." I can't really taste it, but who am I to argue with their claim.

Aloevine Aloe
This is the standard, the model, the base, the #1. It's so clean. It tastes like grape, but is just aloe. I like this and it might be my favorite that Aloevine has to offer. Not that I don't like the flavored ones, I just think that I like the flavor of this one best. I like that it tastes like grape and has the chunks in it. It makes me feel like I am eating a grape. Why don't I just eat a grape? I'm drinking a drink that tastes like grape, why would I drink something that tastes like grape, too? Seems like overkill to me.
I might say that if you are at all curious about the wonderful world of aloe, this might be a safe one to start with. None of it is overwhelming.

Izze Sparkling Birch
This is really weird. First off, it makes my tongue numb for some reason. I feel like someone smeared Orajel on the mouth of the bottle. I really don't understand that at all.
It tastes like a very light birch beer. Like the ratio of carbonated water to flavor is really high. It tastes almost herbal tea like.
Really though, someone explain to me the numbing.

D'Angelo DUH! Pomegranate Cream Soda
Woah. Strange. It's more of a sparkling or carbonated water than a pop if I was to caste this drink out. It might be the whopping 5% real fruit juice, but it's a good touch. This stuff is pretty good. It's really sweet, but slamming my taste buds with flavor. It's a lot of pomegranate flavor and not a lot of cream soda flavor. The cream soda flavor rounds out the sweet, bitterness of the pomegranate and leaves a certain smoothness that I can't really describe. This whole drink is taking me for a loop and leaving me quite speechless.
Jay got this for me whilst seeing one Paul F. Tompkins in Toronto. He bought a lot of stuff and brought even more home. A lot of this month's strange oddities have been from said trip. D'Angelo seems to have a pretty large line of drinks so we might have our hands full as if they are this good, we might have to work out some sort of international trade agreement.
