Wegmans Frizzante Cranberry Lime
Do you know what's good? This drink is. I don't know why more things on flavored with cranberry and lime because this was simply amazing. The blood orange was better, if we're picking favorites, but this was very good. Also I enjoyed it came in the smaller bottles in I didn't have to buy a 40 ounce drink that's going to go flat after I open it.
If you are ever in the neighborhood please pick up a bottle of this and you will not be disappointed. Plus a case of four bottles is $5 and that rules.

Peace Tea Razzleberry Tea
I hate that I keep comparing these to Arizona, but they are tall boys of iced tea that are 99 cents. The raspberry one even tastes similar to the Arizona one. It's not as syrupy, but thicker than I expected. I do enjoy it, and I hope the spread to Western New York, so I can grab them on the go. Really, how can you go wrong with a decent tea for that cheap?

Lane Southern Orchard Strawberry Cider
So, I'm on tour right now, and we have Bedford Falls from Wales with us. We've been trying to show them some regional greatness as we travel around the U.S. While driving through Georgia (blasting R.E.M. of course) I saw a sign for a peach farm, so of course we had to stop. Hoping to get the world's greatest peaches, we were let down to find they weren't in season. I was able to pick up some unusual ciders though. This is one of them.
Imagine going out on the farm. It's hot. Sweat is beading up on your brow. You need to finish picking these strawberries though. If you don't, the birds will get them. So you gather a bushel. Now you're back in the kitchen. Hey! Rinse those off! What are you some kind of savage? Okay so now you've sliced them up. Pour a great big helping of sugar on top and let it soak into the juices. Take a bite. Take a big...bigger bite. Now you know exactly how this wonderful beverage tastes.

Izze Sparkling Birch
This is really weird. First off, it makes my tongue numb for some reason. I feel like someone smeared Orajel on the mouth of the bottle. I really don't understand that at all.
It tastes like a very light birch beer. Like the ratio of carbonated water to flavor is really high. It tastes almost herbal tea like.
Really though, someone explain to me the numbing.

Peace Tea Green Tea
Whenever I reach for a tall boy of iced tea, I just feel like a glutton. I know you don't have to drink it all at once, but let's be honest, once it's opened I'm going to finish it. I used to drink Arizona tall boys constantly, and then I severely cut back my HFCS intake. I'd like to thank Peace Tea for creating a HFCS free tall boy, so I can further my journey towards becoming a fat lard.
This is a pretty straightforward green tea that is heavy on the ginseng and honey. It may not be the best green tea I've ever had, but it's far from the worst, and for 99 cents how can you go wrong.

San Pellegrino Chinotto
I don't like regular San Pellegrino. I'm not a huge fan of seltzer or sparkling water. My girlfriend loves it and always asks for soda water with lemon any time we go to a restaurant. I try it once every three months and hate on it every time.
This is different. It's got a dry cola taste with a strong, citrus taste to it. It tastes like an orange rind would taste, but not like an orange juice pop might. The chinotto isn't an orange, but it's got to be from the same family as it's the same shape, color, scent, and so on.
I like this. It's different. It's very bitter and it's a dry cola taste. It's a sipping drink. A large gulp might be too much, much like eating a handful of orange peels, which you would never do unless you hated yourself.
This was recommended by a friend who told me it was an Italian favorite and an acquired taste. You can probably get it at most larger grocery stores or any Italian market.

Fuze Defensify Raspberry Camu Camu
This tastes diet. It really tastes like there's artificial sweetener in it, but nope, just sugar. It has a faint raspberry taste, but that diet flavor, just takes over. Maybe that's what camu camu tastes like. I had never even heard of it before I saw this drink.
It does have a bunch of vitamins in it, but the health benefits from those are worth dealing with the flavor to me.

Mong Lee Shang Mango Juice Drink
I came in to work today and the lovely and talented Kristin Merz stopped at her local Asian market and picked me up this Mango juice drink. Yes, there is nata de coco in it, but there isn't a lot. It's not like a lot of the other ones I've had where there is an abundance of little squared, gummy goodness. This drink had but a few little dudes but the mango juice was actually really good. There is actually a small bit of mango chunk in there, too, but nothing to really write home about. It's not a puree or a smoothie, just a juice, but a good juice. Personally, I think it's an all or nothing gig with nata de coco. Either put a lot in or don't put any in.
This is a excellent juice and I urge anyone who is 10% adventurous to go down to their local Asian market and get a can.

Nygarda Julmust
What's that middle taste? I can't figure it out. It's like a cola last. Maybe there is some grape in there but it's made from hops and barley, which makes the aroma. It's not bad but my mind is telling me it's alcoholic. Nothing on the bottle says that there is but it tastes a little like I remember old, crappy red wine to smell.
I don't know who I could recommend this to. Someone who loves red wine, pop, and can't drink at work, but really want to drink at work. You know, the perfect clientele.
I don't know if this is seasonal, either, because there is a little Santa-like gnome wearing mittens and is surrounded by packages.

Big Bamboo Irish Moss
Mooooooooooom why is my pudding so liquidy? Oh because you accidentally put the pudding in a can, and the drink in my pudding bowl? Seriously this has the consistency of pudding/the slime you got out of quarter machine as a kid. I had to shake the can to get it in the cups in glops.
It also reminds me of how vanilla egg nog pudding would taste. This is just strange. I just can't get over the consistency. I don't think it would be so gross if it were more of a fluid.

Foco Passion Fruit Drink
As I sit here and wait for the security people, which they should of been here 16 minutes ago I'm drinking by my lonesome a glass of passion fruit drink. The ingredients are sugar, water, and passion fruit juice? All the same this is pretty good. It's pretty sweet but a good natural fruit sweet. It's right on the line of a juice and smoothie because it's not as thick as a smoothie but it's also thicker than juice.
Finally the dude's here. Safety.
I got this drink at a local, low price food store but you could probably get it at nearly every Hispanic market. Also, for around a dollar, you can't go wrong.

Royal Mills Iced Cappuccino
I am not a big fan of coffee. On occasions I like really sweet iced coffee drinks. Due to that my lady friend made me try this. I was shocked at how much I liked it. It's super, super sweet, and the coffee flavor isn't too strong. It reminds me of coffee ice cream. If you're a coffee fiend, this may not be strong enough for you, but it's good for me.

Red Bull Simply Cola
I stayed away from this stuff for a while when I first saw it. I'm not a regular drinker of energy drinks. On the rare occasions when I do get them, I rarely stray from a select few. I have to say it's not bad. It tastes like a cola that is fighting with some ingredients from root beer. The cola is victorious in the end, but there are some strange flavors left over. The two tastes, besides cola, that stand out the most are lime and licorice. Neither is terribly overpowering, so it adds a nice subtlety to it.
The really nice thing is that this is all natural. There are no chemicals added for energy. All of the caffeine in this is from coffee beans, so it doesn't make you all crazy.

DG Ting Original
Have you ever been punched in the butt? Not like a joke, like a real, honest to goodness punch in the butt. Do me a favor and go to a grocery store and get four things:
1. A can of Squirt
2. A bottle of Ting. Get the original, not the pink
3. Milk.
4. Bread. Not white bread. Something like a twelve grain. You're an adult now.
Go home and open up the can of Squirt and take a sip. Not bad, right? Now turn that bottle of Ting upside down and then right side up, open it, and throw that leftover can of Squirt in the garbage because you'll never want that second rate grapefruit pop again.
I don't know what it was, but the Ting original was exceptional. Excellent real grapefruit flavor. I liked it better than the pink. I found it in a couple places but if you have a Jamaican or Hispanic market, they should have it there?
Oh, the milk and bread? You needed that.

Taisun Grass Jelly Drink
I was scared. I didn't want to drink this. With a title like "grass jelly drink" what was I supposed to think? I knew it was going to have chunks in it so I poured it into a glass. It's chunky, very chunky. Like if you bought an aloe drink and doubled the amount of aloe. Here's the deal though. It was awesome. My one friend said that it tasted like sweet tea and that it got better with every sip. I thought that it had a winter taste, like there were some unlisted spices.
I mean it. Try it. I'm sorry if you don't like it, but I think that with an open mind, this could be a diamond in the rough.

Old Jamaica Ginger Beer
Am I the only one who expects ginger beer to destroy them, only to be let down? Maybe I'm picking the wrong ginger beers. Flavor-wise, Old Jamaica makes a great ginger beer. It's far from bland, and was a pleasure to drink. But sadly, it went down smooth without much of a ginger bite. If you like a slight ginger taste but don't like to be over powered by it, this is for you. Myself, I'm still searching for a ginger beer that will kick my ass.

Hansen's Natural Cane Soda Cherry Vanilla Creme
I bought an 8 pack of this on a whim because they were on sale and it looked like a flavor I'd love. I don't usually take chances when I buy more than a 4 pack, but I am so glad I did this time. Unlike the last soda from Hansen's I tried, this one is full of flavor! Each sip tastes different than the last. Sometimes it tastes like cream soda with a strong vanilla taste and a hint of cherry. Other times it tastes like a creamy cherry vanilla soda. This soda is delicious and goes down so smooth.

Mira Voy! Aloe Vera Nectar
This is my first visit with the Mira aloe drink. It's slightly different from the Aloevine original aloe flavor. This one doesn't taste as much like grape, even though it has artificial grape flavor in it. It does have a general sweet taste that I really enjoy. The aloe chunks in this one are also a lot bigger, which is pretty great. I just can't get enough of aloe drinks.

Chubby Tutti Frutti
This, I can say with almost 100% certainty, is low rent pop. It's got real sugar in it, but that doesn't save it at all. Maybe because it's fruit punch/tutti frutti is because it had the...tinge...to it, but it wasn't great. It just taste of lower quality. It has a very sweet, fruity smell, and it tastes sweet and fruity, too, but still...something is off.
Look, 3 for $1 is not meant to surprise and I am not surprised, but who knows. There are some gems out there and this is not one of them. Sorry Chubby and sorry to myself for taking advantage of the 3 for $1 deal. Congrats to you, the public, for getting to enjoy/endure two more reviews.

Coco Loto Coconut
I did not have the stomach for this as soon as I opened it. I knew I wasn't going to like it. Was it psychosomatic? Possibly. Was it still kind of gross? Yeah, dude. I do not hate nada de coco. This is truth. I like coconut. I like coconut shavings. I like Mounds and Almond Joy. I do not like coconut juice or coconut water. Why? It's not terribly good, that's why.
I am actually pleased to say that this is my last "strange" drink and I am even more proud to say that this will be my last "strange" drink for a while. I had them all at work and every day I had to come in, drink something potentially gross, and write about it. At home is where the gems are.
Here is how I will sell it, not make it sound bad and undrinkable, because, let it be known, it was not undrinkable. If you like any of the new Vita Coco drinks and don't mind jelly coconut, this is perfect. That's not a far stretch as it's harder for me to get past the flavor than the foreign jellies.
Because I didn't drink the whole thing and because I barely made a dent in it would normally produce the rating of a 1, but I simply wasn't in the mood and don't like it. It's like ordering a meal only to find out that it's got something you hate in it and then having a sour taste in your mouth.
Once again, to reiterate, if you like coconut water, you would probably like this and I urge you to get a bottle. This company, Coco Loto can be found in Hispanic grocery stores and I actually found this in an Asian market. The company Mira also makes this same drink. It is gaining in popularity and you should see what people are talking about.
