Pokka Aloe V Blueberry Juice

Pokka Aloe V Blueberry Juice
We at Thirsty Dudes love aloe drinks. You don't believe me? Look at the 73 (and counting) different aloe drinks we've had: http://www.thirstydudes.com/category/aloe-vera. Sure there has been a few bad apples in there, but overall I'm sure the aloe vera category has a better good to bad ratio than most on our site.

Back to the can at hand, I found this in an Asian market while I was visiting Boston last month. I'm really enjoying blueberry + aloe chunks combo. It's making me wish there were blueberry chunks in here as well, but you can't have it all I suppose. Part of me is regretting not saving this for the morning because this would be a great drink to enjoy while I waited for the bus tomorrow morning. Perhaps I'll do that another day with the other flavors I have. Though I think it's the blueberry that is making me think morning. I blame blueberry muffins.

Pokka Japanese Green Tea

Pokka Japanese Green Tea
Question, tell me what you think about me? I buy my own diamonds and I buy my own rings…€¦ wait, that's not right. Those are Destiny's Child lyrics. What I meant to say was, exactly how fresh can “Freshly brewed green tea” actually be when it comes in a can? I assume they meant that they put it in a can as soon as they brewed it, but does that really make any difference to anyone? It's not like this is some special can that brews the tea for you as soon as you crack it open. That would be awesome though. Picture it, the insides of the can instantly boil and then cool down to a nice iced temperature. That's the kind of stuff you'll be seeing in the future if I have any say in it.

This tea? Well, it's green tea alright. Just plain old (well freshly brewed before canning) unsweetened green tea. There's not much that could change in this if another company put it out. It's exactly what you would expect, except it wasn't instantaneously brewed in your hand.

Pokka Peach Tea

Pokka Peach Tea
This is made from brewed black tea, peach juice and real sugar. It should be great, but unfortunately something has gone wrong. I'm going to guess that it's too much sugar. Even though it's flavored with real juice, the peach tastes fake. It tastes like a slightly better version of something you would buy in a gallon jug at the corner store. That's not good news for anyone.

Pokka Oolong Tea

Pokka Oolong Tea
I drink a lot of unsweetened tea. I mean A LOT of unsweetened tea. I brew it myself and let it chill in the fridge before I enjoy it. The thing is that all of the tea I have thus far brewed has been either black or green tea. It's been so long since I've drank an unsweetened iced oolong tea that I have forgotten exactly how delicious it can be. Oolong has a much earthier taste to it than black and green tea. It's not the kind of tea that you would drink when you needed instant refreshment, but it is the type you would sip slowly and mull over the flavor as you relax. I will definitely be getting some tea bags to brew some myself.
